Lena Gomez is a rising Las Vegas–based illustrator, graphic designer, and painter who is inspired by nature and historical craft. After spending her early career in an agency role as a digital producer, she shifted her focus to creative work and now works independently as an illustrator, designer, and painting instructor. She is passionate about maintaining a human-centered approach to art and design and prioritizes working with businesses and organizations that value inclusivity, sustainability, and the promotion of the arts.

My name is Art Martinez and I founded Avant Painting out of love for the transformative abilities of a large painting. My artistic career spans more than two decades of large scale painting, prop design, woodworking, sign painting, graphic design, oil painting and sculpture with a current project of a comic book. My greatest reminder of why I am a painter was when I was finishing the face of the Virgin Mary at St Gertrude’s Catholic Church in LA, it was about 10pm and i noticed an elderly woman standing behind me with her hand covering her mouth and tears in her eyes. I paint to move people.
